It's Matt, your friendly neighbourhood texturer

I'm Matt, an Electrical engineering undergraduate doing my first CO-OP work term here at Ancient Spaces. I've been doing modeling (with Blender) and texturing of objects and scenes.

So far I have been working on the reconstruction of a part of Machu Picchu. We decided to focus on the 3 window group and Intiwatana sections, shown below.

Machu Picchu

Now Tom, another modeler/texturer and I have been working on texturing this model. This is taking far longer than expected because there are so many custom textures for each building!

One really strange thing I ran into while constructing the Machu Picchu model was a top view I was given appears to be quite... wrong.

The red circled part should actually be going inwards. All the on site photos support this as well, and the model reflects this.

Could there have been a land slide and a reconstruction? or is the drawing just incorrect. We don't really know.
